What is my ISO Rating and how does this rating effect what I pay for home’s insurance?
Sale Creek Volunteer Fire & Rescue has a split ISO Rating of 3/3X. The rating is dependent on where you live within the district and the distance to both the nearest fire station and nearest fire hydrant. We have signed Automatic Mutual Aid Agreements with both Soddy Daisy Fire Department and Brayton Volunteer Fire Department. These agreements enable us to maintain our ISO Ratings and save our community substantial sums of money every year.
The following examples were obtained from a major insurance carrier on 08/29/13. They outline the cost differences between some of the different ISO Class Ratings.
